Block stolen cameras from reactivation

One of my cameras was stolen from our rental property. Alarm is useless when Homebase is unplugged and reset. Is it possible to block the camera from activation to a different Homebase? I’m not expert with QR code or serial numbers, can eufy patch or upgrade the software to prevent stolen cameras be used?

Apple can do this with items reported as stolen so the technology exists.

i’m curious, have you tried contacting eufy to see if the camera has in fact been reactivated? if it has you could try to have your local police contact eufy and see if they can get the new location and recover it.

I would like to offer a suggestion to Eufy on this. The activation tag should be a sticker that can removed from the device, and they should put a extra sticker in the box that you can affix to the doorbell, saying something like “Activation tag removed, useless if removed from base”.

They could also offer a security box that can fit over the doorbell, and even offer a USB hardwire kit for the battery operated version with a weatherproof USB cord.
