C31 Google as Doorbell chime ?

Has anyone successfully setup their Google home speakers as a doorbell chime ? It says on the product page it is supported but I cannot get it working at all.
I can view the live feed in my Google home app no problem at all but I just want my home speakers to alert when the doorbell is pressed.

Hopefully someone will respond that uses Google home, as I don’t.

I was reading some info on setup for it though, after you linked your eufy account to Google home then asked to discover new devices, when you chose the doorbell was there an option to enable doorbell announcement?

There is no option to use Google as a chime in either the Eufy or Google Home apps.
I can view the doorbell cam in Google Home but that’s all. So if someone comes to the door it’s useless as I have no audible chime.
I think they are advertising it as a feature but it doesn’t support it.

Hmm. Double check to see if there’s a firmware update available for the doorbell.
Settings>> General>> About Device.

Look it up on Google, because most reviews you you’d find aren’t going to show that…

Latest firmware is installed and latest version of apps.

Unless it has changed in the last 2 weeks, you can use Alexa as an indoor chime, and HB3, but NOT Google. I have my entire house set up, as well as 8 speakers, so it would be handy!

I can see all of my cameras on Google home. Also, my newer doorbell the dual doorbell battery that I have wired also works with HB3, my previous dual wired one didn’t. The chime on the older 2 doorbells were compatible, but the new battery dual doorbell (340?) wont work with old chimes.

I agree that Google assistant cannot be used as a chime. The big issue is that Eufy are advertising that it can which goes against , in the UK anyway, trading standards laws I think.

Eufy support have confirmed to me that despite the product page advertising it as a feature Google assistant cannot be used as a chime.
