So the camera in my garage got run over but the SD card is fine. Is there a way to recover the footage on the card without the original camera.

Yes it should be readable from a computer, assuming it is not damaged
If the card is really undamaged - any computer can open it with an SD reader. Camera doesn’t store videos in some weird format. Regular that any player can open.

Just what others said. If you don’t have a computer I bought a card reader off amazoff that plugs into my iPhone
