So, one of our Cameras, that is six months old and came with the MicroSD card is now showing microSD card Fault?
Has anyone else had this problem? Would this be covered by the cameras warranty?
Any suggestions are more than welcome thank you .
I don’t know if the SD card is covered, couldn’t hurt to ask support for a replacement.
If you haven’t done so yet, remove the SD card and then put it back in.
See if formatting the SD card fixes it.
Thanks JD. Yes I’ve asked support as you have mentioned, I will wait and get back with there answer.

Okay, have you tried removing the SD card and putting it back in yet?
I do appreciate the suggestion JD. I have removed and refitted in the past. I had this same problem a few months back and did just that and it worked up until now. As it was sold inc the micro sd card, I feel and hope that a answer from the eufy customer support team will offer a new sd card but as yet I’ve not had a email from eufy. The card was installed correctly. In my mind it points to a defective card but I don’t want to act or invalidate the warranty.
Oh, I understand.
Please keep me posted on the outcome from support.
In the meantime do you happen to have another SD card you can pop into the camera?
Whilst the camera is sold with an SD card, I am not sure it would be covered by warranty, and I doubt replacing it would void the warranty. The issue is that, although the SD card was sold by eufy as part of the camera, it is not manufactured by them so they could not be held to account for its workmanship.
Sometimes it is not the card that is corrupt, but the data on it causes it to seem corrupt (e.g. a file that wont allow itself to be overwritten). Have you tried putting the SD card into a pc or laptop and formatting it and seeing if that resolves the issue? If that works for the camera to at least recognise it, and then you may just need to reformat using the camera and app.
It’s definitely worth trying eufy support though, there is no harm in asking. Be interested to know how you get on
No, but will buy a new sd card.
Just got what appears to be an automated reply from eufy support team. It list things to try to reset / clear this fault but does not offer a new card as yet. I need the cameras, serial number or if not possible then a photograph of the camera to verify the warranty. As I have already registered this camera , this iswhat leads me to believe it is an automated re-ply to my email, requesting assistance. In my email I added the purchase date proof, bought from shop ie eufy online shop, and their order number. These were requested to confirm my purchase of this camera. But now as eufy have officially said to removing refitting also re-formatting or as you have suggested putting in a new SD card, then this will be my next step. Thanks JD
Thank you Kieren, I’m now in a position to try these steps. Little disappointed that this nice E220 is playing up as it’s only a few months old. None of this is a big problem I hope, more of a little nuisance and either way, I will need to sort it to get the best from the camera.
Yeah Londonlad, putting in a new SD card will confirm if the old SD card is defective, or if there is an issue with the camera itself.
You also could try swapping that SD card you have in another camera to see if it occurs with that SD card.
Also what @Kieren3 mentioned taking that SD card and putting it into your PC to format it.
If you didn’t know, warranty and serial number info can be found in the app.
Love your grinning gob emoji.
So JD and Kieren, after removing and fitting a new card as suggested by you, the e220 now is back working. I checked the old card and no signs of damage, so I can only think that the old card must have been defective? Eufy has further requested screen shots of the error messages before the new sd card was fitted, this I have done and sent along with confirmation that a new card has cleared this problem. I appreciate both of you taking the time to offer help, it’s very obvious that I’m No tec ….thanks again
