can anyone tell me why my proximity alert sound has changed and how to restore it to something I can actually hear.
the eufy assistant said to change it on the plug in base unit but that’s only the ring chime isn’t it?
both my wife and I are getting the same stupid ‘plink’ sound so I assume its not a setting on our individual phones.
I cant seem to find anything on the app to change it.

I’m not sure what you mean by… Proximity alert? Unless that’s something new.

If you’re asking about notification sound that your phone will make when your camera detects motion and records, then go into your cameras Settings and tap on Notifications, scroll down a little and you will see App Alert Tones / tap on Motion Alerts, from there a window will open up with different tone alerts you can choose.

Thanks JD yes motion detection was my issue. Thanks for the direction, I now know where to look. Strange that it had changed though. Best wishes.

Interesting. Not sure why it originally changed :thinking:

But to change it back you should be able to do the following:

  1. Open the eufySecurity app
  2. Tap the … icon, then the Gear icon on the device tab
  3. Scroll down to Notification or Notifications Settings
  4. Select the desired app alert tone
