Hello All
New to this forum and new to Eufy.
Recently purchased following items & live in UK by the way.
- Homebase S380
- Eufy Cam S340
- Solar Wall Light Cam 120
All set up and connected, straight forward.
Also setup the zones and set to customised max length, sensitivity to max etc.
What is the issue?
There seem to be a minimum 3-5 sec delay for the camera’s to actually start recording from the point when something enters the view / zone. So, to put into perspective, somebody walks into the view and by the time it starts recoring, the person already has passed half of the path … meaning you get to see only a fraction of it.
Imagine, somebody runs toward your car, throws something at it and runs of … you will end up seeing only the part when that somebody runs away but miss out the crucial part of it. This is credulous and not appropriate and seriously affecting the point of CCTV.
Has nobody noticed that or picked upon that?
How did you overcome this issue?
The devices are connected to the Homebase and are within 1-6 meters distance.
The Internet speed is 500Mbps connected to the homebase and then wireless connected to the devices of course. I could even add an WiFi extender if needed BUT I do not think this is the issue but rather a problem with the software / triggers.
Note that there is a section to manage the trigger delay on the camera and is minimum set to 5 seconds! Why on earth is that??? I do not want any delays … as that is the issue here.
Please advise of your experience, knowledge and suggestions.
The hard-wired option is not an option.
#EufySupport your engineers must be aware of this, is there anything you guys are doing to minimize the delay of the trigger to rather record the event asap?
