Doorbell hasn’t recorded any live events since random woman came across and poured what appears to be pee all over our back porch area. On the back door (had a little puddle under it on the inside). Because of its angle and lighting (I guess) it didn’t pick up a lot to begin with. In the last clip it recorded, she just randomly appears close to it pouring something. It doesn’t show her tampering with it, but it seems to skip some footage that it should have caught. Tried all kinds of thing, doorbell doesn’t ring. No events recorded, live view does work. Turned everything off and back on. Restarted HB dozens of times, power cycled a few times still just live view.
Hi, it sounds as though the doorbell is Frozen / non-responsive.
I’ve had this happen a few times also.
The fix for me was to remove the doorbell / device from the app and then re-add it back to the app again as if you’re installing a new device.
but doing this will most likely delete any recordings it has made prior.

I just really don’t want to handle it at this point. I’m pretty sure that woman dumped pee all over my porch and door, and I’m pretty certain she did something to it since it’s the last thing before it just stopped. They want me to send it in for a warranty exchange but I don’t want to send them something that may reek of pee. Maybe I’ll disinfect it and try a warranty exchange, but I really dislike the idea.
Hmmm, the doorbell camera is IP rated it can take downpour of water it just cannot be submerged in water.
I’m disgusted that a person would do something like that.. is she local to the area?
When you do remove the doorbell put on surgical gloves while you disinfect it.
Also while you have it unmounted may as well try what I suggested before to see if it will work again, cuz you’re going to need to do it when you get the replacement warranty.
Strange
Either she lives right behind me in that apartment with the door open in the footage or she was visiting. My best guess is she doesn’t like the idea of cameras possibly watching her, but that doorbell cam positioned on the door picks up very little, I’m guessing because of that big brick wall and the porch roof not making the best lighting option. I didn’t even know this happened for a week! Just checking the app and noticed 0 events on the 20, thought that was weird so started scrolling back. On the 13 at I think 10:42 this woman is the last thing it captured. It creeped me out honestly, she was just suddenly in front of the door pouring something, my first thought was water, then maybe vodka… I thought it was clear, but I was only seeing the glass she had it in! I decided to see if it tracked her on the others and sure enough have her and her man hanging out him running in and bringing her that cup after a few minutes, her looking like she’s coming over a few times and turns back before she finally does.
I filed a police report. I feel so stupid having to file one because a random woman decided to pour what looks like pee on my porch and door! They approved it though, and I sent them the videos.
And, today the camera randomly decided to start recording events on its own. Only about 5 when I looked.
Also same doorbell on the front had been glitching for over a week before I contacted eufy, they suggested rain got in the lens and to use a hair dryer to dry it out? But it hasn’t rained all month up until just Monday, I haven’t been paying much attention to it, but I’m not seeing really distorted thumbnails in my homepage from it, so assuming it resolved itself as well.
