I’ve had an e340 for a few months and really like the camera, unfortunately I have this frustrating bug that has happened a number of times where the motion detection stops working. It is clearly registering movement because the blue circle illuminates but it does not record the event or notify me. Notifications still work as if I push the bell I get notified. I’ve tried toggling everything I can in the settings on and off with no luck of getting it to work. The only thing that does work is reinstalling the device which is pretty frustrating, unlike the other eufy cameras I have there is no restart option for this camera. Anyone had this issue or knows a fix without having to reinstall?
Is it connected to a home base? If so try restarting it. I’ve had this before and restarting theHB has fixed it.
It’s connected to my chime, I don’t have a full home base so the chime has the memory card that stores the logs but doesn’t do any of the more hi tech functions like a homebase would
I’m not sure why the e340 video doorbell doesn’t have a restart function as that would most likely clear the bug, all of my other eufy devices (mini base chime and 2 x s220 solo cams have a restart option)
Then I’m not sure other than trying a factory reset. not sure process with that model but most Eufy products you hold the sync button for 20 seconds after removing it from the app then reinstalling it as a new device. Maybe google it or utube the question I always find some sort of answers out there
Fully resetting it using the reset option in the settings does fix it but then you have to go through the whole process of readding it and doing all the settings etc which is a bit of a pain. I’ve seen a number of people complaining about this specific issue so would hope a firmware patch might fix it
