Anyone have the new Indoor c210/c220 cameras? Does the privacy mode work with alarm keypad. Eg privacy mode on when alarm set to home, privacy mode off when alarm set to away?
Is privacy mode not recording or just facing the wall but still waiting for motion?
The camera does not work with any HB3 modes or automations. ( said it was fully compatible when launched… they have change the descriptions) It will only store events to the homebase. So…. Keypad will not work.
The privacy mode is enabled by taping the
Icon under the “devices” tab. It cannot be activated by switching modes. It spins the cam to a preset (by you) position… and then shuts off. When I first got it I could still see the IR lights running when in privacy mode… not sure if this has been fixed.
The new 2 camera indoor pan/tilt (350?) works with HB3 modes… but can only use privacy mode when in “home” mode. (Stupid decision)
If you only use home and away… this could work. For me it doesn’t. I have many scheduled modes ( home, away, night alarms, quiet rec, front only, and off) so the camera will come out of privacy mode when we don’t want it…. So basically useless for us.
