I bought a Eufy battery doorbell and chime in February 2023. A point: the battery life between charges was nowhere near Eufy’s claimed time.
Forward to April 2024 and I start getting ghost rings early in the morning. I contacted customer service and undertook their advice (check screws, reset). This appeared to “cure” the fault for a couple of weeks, then the ghost rings reoccurred. Customer service provided advice; check screws, reset AND delete doorbell from app. then add it back. I did the last action and I couldn’t add the doorbell to the app, because the door chime sync sound is too low. This was CS response: “if the chime cannot emit pairing sound, too, it might be faulty, too.” They have offered a 20% discount if I buy a replacement system direct!!
So whilst I had intermittent ghost rings, the system worked okay, but following customer service advice, I now have a totally useless set up.
So faults with Eufy:
- Battery life around 2 months.
- Ghost rings around 12 months after purchase, but it worked.
- Totally useless after 12 months after following customer service advice.
I’m very disappointed that the “life” of my Eufy system is just over 12 months!
Grateful if anyone can offer advice on a fix, otherwise it’s in the bin and this review will be submitted to Trustpilot and Amazon, where I bought it from. I’m looking at Ezviz as an alternative as I’ve not had any issues with cameras from them.
