I have a question that I hope somebody may be able to help me with please. I’ve seen similar posts elsewhere but haven’t found a solution yet.
I have an Eufy e340 doorbell. I have today tried to set up activity zones as I live on a main road. I have setting the activity zone to be quite small, around my front door / pathway on both the main camera and parcel / floor camera. But despite what I do, cars on the road and people walking past on the pavement trigger recordings / notifications, even though these are well outside the activity zones. Cars also trigger the alerts even though these are only set to trigger when a human is detected.
At the moment I am a little frustrated despite having tried to play with various settings and new activity zones, so I hope someone may have some ideas I can try!

Unfortunately there’s no way to get around this when the area is as busy as yours sounds. Activity zones don’t stop motion capture/detection, they’re just filters that do their best to present to you events of what you want. Vehicles for example, may be triggering alerts because the camera is “seeing” what looks like the faces of people operating or riding in the vehicle.
Do you own a Homebase 3 by any chance?
I would recommend starting at the lowest sensitivity and moving one up based on your results. Also, try smaller zones, separate zones and such to see if that makes any kind of a difference.
If you are still getting unwanted recordings at the lowest sensitivity and your system and app is updated, your other option is to buy a wedge or something that could angle/tilt the device left/right or down a bit, if that would make any difference.
If all else fails, this may not be the Doorbell Camera for your situation. You could try getting a Homebase 3 to see if that helps if you don’t already have one (if you plan to buy more Eufy devices) or return the device and get something more suited for your scenario.
