Eufy indoor cam 2k pan & tilt started to go into a reboot loop

After a couple of weeks of problem free operation, this morning my Eufy indoor cam 2k pan & tilt started to continuously reboot. Camera goes offline in the app, it then reboots (visible by LED going purple and the pan & tilt mechanism initializes) and briefly it works for a couple of minutes. Then the process repeats itself.

I’ve tried a power cycle by removing the camera’s power supply for a couple of minutes. No success. What to do to solve this?

So it turns out this behavior was caused by the SD card that got corrupted somehow. It said it had no free space left (while there only a few recordings on it). Tried to format it using the Eufy app: it said it could not be formatted. So I removed the card and since then the camera is stable again.

Thanks, good to know. Also try to format the SD card with your computer and see if that works.

Already tried that, didn’t work. It seems to be defective in such a way it cannot even be formatted by a PC any more.

Still: I think that the camera should be able to handle a defective SD card. That you cannot use it for storage any more: understandable. But the firmware should not go into a crash-reboot loop.

Yes, that is odd that it went into a crash-reboot loop.
The app should have just alerted you that the SD card has become corrupted / missing / not installed. That would have been the logical way to address it.

My 2k indoor also crashed because sd card.
Eufy AWS may be having issues.
