Malfunctioning Indoor Cam 2k Pan & Tilt

Hello! I’ve got a four year old Indoor Cam 2k Pan & Tilt that I haven’t used for a while. It was still working many months back when I checked it. But I tried to use it today to retrieve some footages and it won’t initialize.

  1. I plugged it in.
  2. Purple indicator light turns camera does its rotate.
  3. After 5 seconds, the purple light turns off permanently and the camera closes (facing inside).

Some troubleshooting steps I’ve done:

A. Tried using a different cable and different adapter.
B. Tried to perform hard reset but Eufy only beeps once every 7 seconds without turning the indicator on.
C. I removed the micro sd card and tried to turn it on again.

Any known solution to this? Are there ways to retrieve the footages? I tried to read the SD card but only a bunch of .dat files are in there. Can I retrieve the footages if I buy a new device?

Are you saying you can’t add it to the app or has it always been on the app after you had put the camera away?
If it’s the later you may need to resync the camera back to the app. Remove the device from the app and then add it back.

To reset_
Locate the Sync button on the back of the camera and press and hold it for about 10 to 15 seconds until you hear two beeps. This will reset the camera to its factory default settings.
Try doing this before it shuts down.
Remove the SD card before you do this or it will wipe out any recordings on it.
The recordings are encrypted so connecting it to a PC you won’t be able to watch the recordings.
