Eufy S1 Pro Mopping Problem

Every time my robovac mops my kitchen/dining room floor (dark grey polished porcelain tiles) it is leaving a film with lots of marks. The floor looks horrible and then needs to wiped down with a cloth. Kind of defeats the purpose of having a robovac to do it?

As my wife pointed out - it might have cleaned but it leaves the floor looking worse.

I’ve tried everything Eufy have suggested and they have even sent me a replacement unit. But the mopping is still really bad on my tiles?

I have found some reports of this on reddit but thought I would check here to see who else has the same problem.

I’ve run mine exactly three times on our tiled downstairs. The first time was great at first except toward the end it started streaking. I read on Reddit that the roller mop does not actually self clean and I needed to clean the roller mop manually (wash it off and towel dry) in between rooms. The third time I ran it, it missed major spots in my tiled kitchen and bathroom. Going to have to call tomorrow.

I was thinking that you might have to manually clean the mopping heads every couple of times. Especially if the floor was really dirty to start with.

Here are my tips but see what works best for you.

Firstly make sure you clean out the water waste in the robot at least once a week. Cleaning the roller every few weeks is fine.

Mopping on tiles - use low or mid water setting and remove the spinning brushes (they leave marks).

Clean the floor weekly with a floor cleaning mop (flash or something like that). On shiny tiles the eufy mop really struggles with foot residue.

Hope that helps.
