Eufy S33 and Synology NAS

So, I gave the homebase a fixed IP and followed the app intructions. Still the authentication on the NAS fails everytime. When I scan a range of IP addresses the cam is not discovered. The cam is connected to the Homebase 3, so I am a bit lost on how to get this camera connected to my NAS.

If the camera is connected to the HomeBase, it won’t work with a NAS. Eufy doesn’t expose RTSP or direct streams from cameras routed through the HomeBase. That’s why your NAS can’t discover it.

For NAS support, the camera needs to connect directly to Wi-Fi, not through a HomeBase. Camerasd that support RTSP and can stream to a NAS require that option is enabled in the settings.

Eufy Link: eufy Support

Giving the HomeBase a static IP is a good step for other integrations, but it won’t help in this case.

Thanks for taking the time to support. I now realized where I went wrong. In Synology Surveillance I needed to choose User Define as camera and there I could paste the rtsp line. This worked yesterday, but today the camera was disconnected and I could not get it connected again. It keeps asking to authenticate, but when I do (enter user / pass from storage/nas(RTSP) it does not work. I removed the camera and added it again with the same result. You say that it does not work with the camera connected to the Homebase at the same time, but yesterday it was. Besides, I need to connect it to the Homebase in order to get the RTSP path. Or do I misunderstand?

Edit: Got it working through the Eufy Link you added. I needed to retry after the authentication failed. Now it is up and running. Still have the camera connected to the Homebase as well, so it seems that does not matter.

Cheers.

You’re right. Homebase is fine.

I tried it on one of my cameras, I am able to swtich to RTSP storage. I get the rtsp url and generated password.
Wonder if changing the authentication to Basic might help?

Awesome, glad you got it working!
