Hello,

I deleted my camera from the eufy app. And impossible to re add it…

Tried everything to reset the camera but nothing works…

You probably already have done this…

  • Press and hold the SYNC button on the camera for at least two seconds until the LED indicator light flashes blue.

  • If it still does not emit a beeping sound after the SYNC button on the camera has been pressed for more than two seconds, try to first charge the camera for 30 minutes and then press the SYNC button on the camera five times within three seconds until you hear two beeps to restart the camera. Afterward, please try the pairing process again.*

Or…factory reset the camera by pressing the SYNC button for 10 seconds.

Try all the above but, with the power charging cable attached and supplying power.
Good luck.

Thank you for your reply,

i tried everything nothing works… it’s a nightmare.

Sorry ahead of time for this not being a solution.
Just wanted to confirm I have the exact same issue when I removed an existing camera and tried to re-add it. Went through all the advised steps, did all the resets (both hub and camera, including recharging) and there is no joy. Camera never beeps on sync. When I go ahead anyway, the camera just cycles from blue flashing light to red light to no light… eventually the hub reports sync failure. So now I have what appears to be a bricked camera.
Until this is resolved… Do not remove any cameras from your hub once synced… you likely won’t get them back.

Thankyou for the reset advice. I’d already tried to do a factory reset to try to reconnect the camera to the Homebase several times but it didn’t work. I was getting the sync beep but after about 1 minute of tring to connect, the Homebase said ‘unable to connect to the camera’.

Following your advice, I pressed the sync button 5 times, got 2 beeps and then tried to sync to the Homebase but still didnt work. Then tried holding the sync for 10 seconds and noticed a red light come on near the camera lens. It then went blue when i Iet go. Tried to sync to the homebase again and this time it worked! Id been trying all afternoon.

Disappointingly it didn’t solve the issue of no sound on the camera which was the fault I was tring to solve when I removed the camera from the Homebase, hoping a restart would sort it out. However at least i have pictures again, so thanks.

Try uninstalling eufy App completely, restart your phone/tablet, and then reinstall. My memory suggests I had to do this once before.

I tried that too. Sadly it didn’t work. Looks like Eufy has a problem here they want nothing to do with.

By the way, did it suddenly dump power for no particular reason before it went weird? Mine did the night before. Lost all its power overnight for no rerason. Up to that point it had been working well.

oh, that’s disappointing.

I have three SoloCam S40. Last week, one suddenly dumped its power overnight. Now, I just got a message from the Eufy app saying the second S40 is low on battery. We had fine weather and the cameras were working well in their locations getting plenty of sun.

The third one hasn’t had an issue yet. The cameras are fairly new too.

Whilst they’re a different model, there must be something amiss if these cameras are drawing excessive power

One of my S330 cams has been having connectivity errors for a while, but two weeks ago it basically shutdown completely and also dumped all its power. I’d blame poor weather but two identical models are fine in a similar situation.

I’ve dismounted the broken one, and wanted to see if I could get warranty but it’s been literally slightly over 12 months now.

The solar panel on it is super worn out too.

Eufy says I have to bring it to my seller which was Bing Lee but I bought it online as it was on special, and there aren’t any stores in my state.

Seriously would like some direct help but can’t find o it how to contact Eufy. Absolutely annoying such an expensive camera has been faulty and is now broken, and cannot connect to home base.

I’m afraid the exact same thing happened to me. Removed camera from app, performed reset on camera, pressed sync button … but no sound. Not even after pressing the sync button 5 times in quick succession.
Throwing the app off my phone is really not an option > I have 4 home bases and quite a few cameras. All this is also linked to a Homey home automation system. Then it really opens up a world of hurt when someone suggests uninstalling the app because it might work.

The worst is i contacted the eufy support and explained the problem. They told me to send back the camera and buy a new one with a discount of 15%…

Sounds like the device is having coms issues and having to retransmit. This consumes much more power than normal and draws down the battery. The solar panels are sized to charge based on 10 detections a day and 30 seconds of recording for each detection. If the camera is having coms issues it will consume more power to transmit each clip. I would bring the camera next to the HB and charge it all the way up and see if that helps.

Thanks. But I’ve done that too, it now refuses to connect at all after restarting it out of the app. It’s like the wireless module is damaged

It is shocking that as soon as I am out of the 1 year warranty that the S330 device fails. I went through all the trouble shooting steps (also what was said on here) and nothing worked.
Eufy wants nothing to do with the issue as it appears to be a common manufacturing fault and they are aware of it, yet selling this item? I have cameras from other brands, which have lasted over 5 years so Eufy has quality control issues if its devices last less than 2 years? I have been bascially told by customer service tough luck and to buy another. I will now stop buying Eufy as I have issues on my doorbell and other devices as well. If this is how Eufy treats its customers I hope the message is clear when customers stop buying their items.

Same issue here.

Any updated?

I have the same issue occur 30th Sept 2024, today, 2 brand new cameras, both reported low battery while all the rest are still fully charged. They would fail to load when i tried to view them, so removed them from my app, and attempted to readd them after holding the sync for 8 seconds to reset. Im not getting any beep now when attempting to repair them.

Ive spent days checking they are fully charged and recheckong the reset instructions. I have also power cycled all the bases…no go
