Eufy Security Video Doorbell E340

I’ve just had an E340 Doorbell installed with two of the security cameras, front and back of the house. However, the doorbell is working when you ring it outside and it sometimes rings on my phone but its not audible anywhere else in the house. The base is connected to my wi-fi router and is only about 10-12ft away from the front door…and it was certainly good enough for the Ring Doorbell that I’ve replaced Eufy with. I’ve Googled the trouble shooter options on-line but can’t find anything that works. Any thoughts anyone…?

Hmm :thinking: not sure if it is supposed to ring the home base i don’t see that option on my doorbell camera. But mine is wired to the existing doorbell wires and it does ring the house chime unit. It has to be turned on in settings. Non wired doorbell camera you can buy a optional separate indoor wireless chime, but you would think there would be a way for the home base to ring. Maybe someone else can chime in with that answer. I’m going to research myself now got me wondering

I just looked again and my wired does have the option for home base I turned it on it gives you multiple different sounds. It was under indoor chime option

lol I just tested house chime 1 sound home base another my phone another then the wife’s phone all different :rofl:

If you have Amazon Alexa devices you can get them to announce “somebody is at the door” bit of a delay so normally I have heard the chime and get to the door when the announcement is made and every time I say “I know”

Thanks for your messages. Thats a bit naughty really that you can pay over £100 for a doorbell that doesn’t make a noise inside the house unless you buy a separate unit. I tried the indoor chime option but it asked me to add a homebase (which I’d already added) so even though I went through the process of adding it again, and it accepted, the doorbell rings outside so a visitor would assume its ringing inside…but it doesn’t. And although you might get something on your phone I guess its also assuming that your phone is glued to your body for 24 hours a day. Looks like I’ll be looking for a chime unit…!
