EufyCam 2C Pro going offline every 48 hours

I have a very strange case with two of 2C Pro cameras. I’ll explain in details.

I reside in Qatar; two years ago I locally bought a eufy bundle that included a battery powered doorbell; a HomeBase2 and one 2C Pro Camera. I have setup the system immediately and started using it. Everything was functioning perfectly for two years until I decided last November to add two more 2C Pro cameras so I bought online from Amazon US a package that included two 2C Pro cameras and a HomeBase2.

Upon receiving the package; I attempted to add the two new cameras to my existing HomeBase2 and had a lot of trouble in the begging until I had to reset the HomeBase2 and the cameras were added successfully. I setup one in the front door and the other one in the back yard while my old camera was setup in the garage. Now the app was showing four devices; a doorbell and three cameras and all worked fine.

After couple days I noticed that the two new cameras were showing “offline” on the app while the doorbell and the old camera was online and working fine.

The two new cameras were fully charged and in range of the Wi-Fi as I didn’t change anything in the setup that was working for almost two days. I tried to press the sync button once; twice; press and hold but to no avail until I had to demount the two new cameras and add them again to the app and remount and they were working fine until another couple days they will go again offline and I have to start the process of adding these two specific new cameras all over again.

Long story short so far I noticed that both cameras will work for almost 48 hours and then they will simultaneously appear offline on the app; and if I demount one of them and add it in the app again the other camera will re-appear online by itself without me even touching it. All the while the doorbell and the old camera are working perfectly.

It’s really puzzling me to why they will work each time for almost 48 hours then simultaneously appear offline on the app and whenever I re-add one of them in the app the other one will automatically go online again.

It’s very puzzling and very frustrating that every two days I have to go through this process then when I’m away on vacation the maximum time for my security cameras will be 48 hours then will go dark.

Please let me know if there’s anything I can do to fix this problem

It would be best to contact eufy support as they do not monitor this forum.
You can do it through the app, tap on the Explore button then tap on the human silhouette on the upper right to contact support.

This forum is basically us users trying to help out others.

The only thing I can think of is perhaps the 2 new cameras are too far from the Homebase for them to have a stable Wi-Fi connection between them or something is interfering with their Wi-Fi connection.

I would test that out, demount the cameras and bring them inside your home closer about 8 meters from the HomeBase for 48 hours to see if it keeps a connection.

What I do find odd is that when you connect re-add 1 of the new cameras then the other one will appear also.
