I can now set different modes for the Homebase via google home which is great. However it only asks for pin code when I turn off the alarm and not into other modes. Anyway of changing this. Also the pin doesn’t appear to work anyway.
This is security measure by Google Home and Alex to ask for your PIN when you ARM/DISARM.
It is required by GH/Alexa for any security device. You cannot change this.
I want it to ask for the PIN when I change to any mode. At the moment it only asks when turning off when selecting disarm. So anyone could just change to a mode with the alarm turned off. For example Home Mode
How do you do this? My Google home doesnt allow any mocde change
My Homebase just got updated to 2.1.4.4h and it started working. Not good though be able to change between modes without the pin!
Hmmm… I see what you meant now. I still think that is within Google’s own protocol.
How? My Homebase also has this firmware version, but i don’t see any actions for it on my Nest hub or google home app…
It’s either by voice or via routines. Cannot set via the app or displays.
Ah thanks. Will try the google home/away routines to set the mode to away/scheduled.
