Has anyone had

Has anyone had this happen to their camera? The camera is less than a year old. Tho blob is in the nighttime videos. If so, is it a malfunction of the camera? I’m thinking so.

Clean the front of the camera off, there’s a spider web or something on it.

Yeah, try cleaning the front of the lens. The blob, It appears to be slightly moving.

Water droplets and spider webs do this to my camera as well. Clean off the lenses and you should be good to go!

Definitely a web or something in front of the lens. Always picked up at night because of the infer red lights. I have microfiber cloths attached to a long pole to clean my cameras of webs. This time of year it’s bad and I have to do it every other day

I have pole with microfiber as well. I generally clean my camera’s once a month. A pole that extends is best. My pole is 6 ft but extends to 12 FT. I think it is for window cleaning or paint roller, it has a tip for add ons.

your lucky only once a month. The spiders are crazy this time of year and all summer :spider_web::spider::spider_web::spider::spider_web::spider::spider_web::spider::spider_web::spider:

How high is your camera installed? Aren’t they supposed to be about 8ft - 10ft off the ground for the best angle? I was just curious since you aren’t just using a ladder to clean it.

Most of my cameras are 8 to 10 feet high. My cleaning pole is 6 feet long so it reaches 11 feet or more with me being 5 foot 8.a couple of my cameras are 20 feet high but i can reach them from windows on the 2nd floor. They still pick up motion pretty good.

:grinning:

I mean, I’ve seen something like that experienced it like a reflection from the IR off whatever that pole is in front of it that’s possible I’m not sure

Could it be the rail causing the IR to feed back into camera ?

It worked! Thank you to everyone who commented. I used a ladder to get right up to the camera. I see a tiny bit of white on the edge of one of the Iense. Had I not had your comments I never would have thought it was what it was. I wiped the entire front of the camera with a microfiber cloth. :+1:t3:

I see that with spiderwebs near the camera lense.
