Hi All, what’s the life expectancy on the eufy cameras ? I purchased a setup 5 years ago and replaced the hole system last year because of deteriorating lenses. I have just taken down to clean my new setup and again 3 out of 4 cameras are showing the same again.
Do you happened to have the lenses pointing towards the sun? There’s no way after a year of use the camera would have issues.
So far over 5 over
Hope the support team can help you with warranty…
Theres no official timeline given by Eufy but I would say about as long as the battery remains healthy and wear and tear isn’t terrible, so I expect most people following mounting guidelines and recommendations to get at least 6 years notwithstanding quality of parts issues that may occur or the effects of dire weather (extreme cold, icing, blowing rain, etc).
I would also recommend buying a 3rd party 4 year warranty for the expensive 4 packs. It’s definitely worth it.
Never thought about that! Hopefully get 5yrs+ out of mine

Hi, what is the third-party four-year warranty? Could you please share more details?
Ouch, doesn’t look good
Strange
Won’t be replacing with eufy again that’s for sure
I replace my cameras with this brand the other brand only lasted 2 years. the sun, heat, moisture nothing’s going to last very long unfortunately.
Not good
Is this a hot climate state?
Deffo not, UK lol
I’m in Vegas so I can expect the camera to not last that long because of the heat. Lol
My Solocam S40 (now called the S230) lasted 2 years and 6 months before it could no longer function properly, mostly due to being outside and water eventually getting in. I replaced it with an S220, though I find that the solar charging isn’t quite as good on the 220. My Eufy wired doorbell is still working great after 4 1/2 years. It has developed a bit of a haze in the lens, but is still doing its job.
