Hi i have the e340 dual camera doorbell , I have fully charged the battery before I installed it but now ive also wired it in with a plug in transformer and the icon shows it plugged so should this recharging the battery as the battery shows its down to 80%? Can someone give me advice
Hi, the doorbell has a battery management protection system when it’s hard wired, so you may not even see it being charged to 100% at all, it mainly just maintains the battery.
There’s a charging threshold, I think when the battery percentage drops to 40% or even 20%, then it will begin charging the battery again.
Just keep an eye on it.
What are the specs on the plug-in transformer you have?

Well it’s 5 volts over the power requirement for your doorbell, though I don’t see an issue with that and the 3A (amps) is fine, because the doorbell will draw only what it needs.

Hi thank you for replying again and helping with the specs on my transformer but it just check the power level and now its dropped even more is this correct please see the picture.
Uh-oh, I’m sorry we have an issue with your plug-in transformer..
The output of the transformer needs to be AC output (alternating current) not DC (direct current).

I didn’t notice that in your picture… Unplug that transformer and manually charge the battery.
You’ll need to get a new plug-in transformer.
Oh really, ive got this transformer aswell thats not being used , is this the correct power output? And thanks or your help.
