Homebase2 battery back up

Was there a reason way Homebase 2 came with out battery back up design which was in the original?

Would be nice to of had that included if there was a power failure.

I agree, i thought it would have the battery backup as well. They recommend you buy battery backup surge device for this type of issue. After some consideration i believe this to be a better option in the long run. Batteries wear out and if its a all in onedevice and one fails the whole thing fails.

I personally don’t think it’ll be that hard to change the homebase battery & I was shocked that they removed it on the 2nd one

2x 18650 batteries, could even just re-cell it
