Homebase2 repeatedly going offline

Homebase2 is repeatedly going offline from 2-3 days at random intervals where it shows red light mostly but sometimes it shows blue light and still doesn’t respond on app where no camera playing video. It’s connected over same ethernet for over a month and nothing has changed. So definitely doesn’t seem a firewall issue. Plus if it’s purely internet issue then the light should stay red and not blue.

No firmware update. Last update was on 19-June-2022.

Firmware version: 3.1.9.0h

Unplugging the ethernet cable or restarting the homebase helps for couple of minutes but then issue repeats. Tried rebooting router as well homebase but still issue persists. Switched to WiFi as backup to see if internet is any issue but that worked fine. Not sure if I should try WiFi connection for long term instead.

Anyone else faced similar issue and/or found a solution? I have gone through community post with similar issue but everyone suggested internet being the issue or no resolution.

Same issue with my 2day old kit. HB2 with 2C Pro cam’s. System was working AOK until it updated to 3.1.9.0h this afternoon…now both cam’s are offline. As u mentioned, disconnected Ethernet cable briefly and got comm’s bac…now offline again.

Has ur system been AOK since switching to wifi instead of Ethernet connection?

I had similar issues and tried the following steps:

  1. Connect HomeBase with a new Ethernet cable (make sure it’s cat 5e or cat 6)
  2. Assign HomeBase a static IP address
  3. Select your HomeBase, navigate to General, Working Mode, set to Performance (Beta)
  4. Restart HomeBase

Monitor and see if that helps. If issues persist, reach out to Eufy support
