HomeKit only mode

My eufyCam 2 cameras are setup for HomeKit (with Secure Video). The only time I access eufy Security app is to change settings (e.g., disable anti-theft detection when relocating the camera) and to check firmware updates.

With all these security breaches, I no longer trust eufy for remote access.

Is it possible to completely disable remote access capability to these cameras? Aside from the nuclear option of blocking them from the Internet?

Not that I’m aware of. Because of how they are initially setup, especially with homekit being AFTER the fact, I think everything goes through Eufy first.

But to be honest, I’ve never tried doing just the homekit setup on the cameras and leaving Eufy out of the equation. Couldn’t hurt to try at this point.
