Homekit recording vs Eufy recording

I have 3 Eufy 2C cameras for my apartment. Two inside and one overlooking our front door. The two inside I leave off during the day but the one overlooking our front door I have recording and notifying us of every motion.

I have noticed though that with some (if not all) events at our front door, Homekit will either notify and record half of the events and the Eufy app will notify and record the other events that Homekit doesnt detect.

I’m trying to figure out which method is better to record to? Have everything recorded to Homekit OR have everything record to the Eufy system? Since my wife and I have different phones (iPhone and Samsung), she cant see what gets recorded to Homekit so the only way for her to receive notifications is through the Eufy app but she might not see ALL of the events because half of them are being saved to Homekit.

Also, I’ve noticed that the detection and recording of events is only a few seconds long even though Homekit mandates that the power settings for the cameras be set to “Optimized” and record up to 60 seconds.

I’m just curious to know what other people have done and what the consensus is as far as which method is better to record to.
