How common is i

How common is it to get blank thumbnails on the Events.

On mine it happens frequently; the first few frames are dark … in order to see what triggered the motion alert you have to view the video. The eufy support team could not offer any advice, but since it’s still on warranty they offered to send a replacement. I’m not sure it’s worth the trouble if the same things going to happen again with a new camera. Thanks for your comments.

I get this a lot when it is some “motion “ detected that is usually only rain or snow or maybe a leaf , bug that went past the camera to quickly. When I watch the clip there is nothing there as far as a person or animal. I usually delete them so it doesn’t take up storage space.

It happens like that, too, but just as often, when I play the clip, there’s a car or person walking by.

After a few back-and-forth messages with Anker, I’m told a new camera is on the way. Originally they told me I’d have to send them my camera first, then they would send a replacement, but only after their team “inspected” mine.

After I replied, ‘no thanks, just close the ticket’, they sent an apology, saying their first response was incorrect (because it was written and sent by AI). So now they’re sending me a replacement afterall. Once I see if it works at least as well as the one I’m using now I’ll finish the trade. Seems like a lot of bother for something that could be fixed by a firmware upgrade, but who knows.

Thanks for the feedback.

I don’t care what some people say about Eufy support they have always been 100% great to me they even sent me a camera that I was having issues with and that was out of warranty and I didn’t even ask. Might have been because the model was discontinued. They sent me a refurbished one but I didn’t care and it came from California to Massachusetts in 4 days. It looked brand new but refurbished. Great customer support.

Agree %100 re Eufy support. It’s actually a new experience for me; I had Ring cams before…the typical response was, like, “it’s your wifi… feel free to purchase a new Ring door…thank you, valued customer..” I’m embellishing slightly, but that’s what it felt like.
