I bought E42 camera and home base 3 on 22-Dec-2025, and I am installing it now. I just wonder how to set up the auto-cruise for this camera. I have found how to preset locations, and set up some. but there is no switch to turn-on/ turn-off auto cruise.
All software has been updated to newest while installing.
From what I have read it doesn’t have it.
The eufy E42 camera doesn’t have a dedicated “Auto Cruise” button; instead, its pan/tilt function provides automatic patrol between preset spots (up to four) after you set them. This “Auto-Cruise” mode lets your camera cycle through favorite areas, with a default spot it returns to after AI tracking or manual control.
If it’s not listed in the Pan and Tilt Settings (auto-cruise/patrol feature) it may not be available just yet, though I can’t see it available for battery cameras as it would consume power, it may show up if it’s wired, I know you can wire that camera and then you would be able to set 24/7 recording, but kind of defeats the purpose of not having to hardwire it.
Let’s see if someone else who has that exact camera posts.
Hello, I have the E42. I do not have the option either and it doesn’t auto scan. One camera is plugged in all the time. I should have the hard drive soon for continuous recording, maybe that is needed to enable it? Wish I had the feature. Will report back after HDD is installed in the next couple of days, when I switch the one camera to continuous recording.

Ok, even with a hard drive and continuous recording and power, there is no option for auto scan between the presets that I can find for the E42.
