I am planning o

I am planning on getting a ring door bell. I will as given as gift a “ring door bell” but without subscription it is a nightmare.

I currently own three cameras with home base from eufy, permanent lights and the x one pro vacuum machine. So definitely need to complete the set.

What recommendations you guys have that you like it so far to replace my door ring.

Thanks!

I personally would go for the E340, as the secondary camera will protect packages left on your doorstep. It will connect to a Homebase as well.

My only complaint with the E340 mounting bracket (which stopped me keeping mine) is that the bracket stands off from the wall meaning that you would need to seal around the unit otherwise water can get in behind and damage the electrics (if hard wired)

I recommend you consider purchasing an E340 as your choice. The E340 is a dual-camera doorbell that can monitor packages left at the doorstep. It also features a removable battery, a color night vision , and 2K

We will consider this issue in the next-generation product. The E340’s bracket has deeper mounting holes compared to previous doorbell brackets, which creates slightly more space between the doorbell and the wall. This design addresses a common problem where users struggle with improperly placed or misaligned screws, making it difficult to securely attach the device.
Thank you for your suggestion!

Thanks for the information. It is a little frustrating as the 15 degree wedge sits flush but not the camera itself, and I can’t use the wedge. It would be good if there were options. Even if there was a flush mounting plate available as an aftermarket part to solve it, I would happily buy it.

A little S220 will only set you back about $30=50 bucks… You can usually find them being sold as a kit with a homebase2, which has a built-in chime, and an activating alarm …where the new generation doorbells requires you to purchase a chime aside the cost youll have to oay for the HB3, which would cost you an extra $120 or so alone lone…
If it where yourself, I’d say the S340 for the long run sure shot, but as a gift, a second d gen S220 kit will do…
Being it is a gift, you might not even know if they’re ever going to use it, do the install, or even subcribe… It is a gift so… Ya…
With that being said,… if they do imbrase it, you can always help out with all the rest a newer one requires later. Talking about, as far cost and instal… hardwire and what ever else it might need…

Glad I switched from ring to eufy

I would recommend the e340 doorbell… it’s dual lenses for package protection. It’s battery powered or can be wired…
