I can only access my Eufy Homebase 2 when connected to wifi.

Hi there,
I can only access my Eufy Homebase 2 when connected to wifi. The homebase is connected to the 4G router (sim card). I need to access the system using my mobile data.
Can anyone suggest what the block might be?
Many thanks

Your home network’s router firewall needs to allow INCOMING connections from the outside world—this is you, you are an incoming connection, trying to access the camera from “outside”

Hi Chris,
Thanks for the reply.

My mobile phone connects to the homebase and camera from any wifi location with but does not connect to the homebase and camera on mobile data when away from wifi.

Thanks

Yeah. And the reason why is, you have not read the stuff at the page I linked, and configured your home internet so that it allows you to connect from “outside” to the camera on the “inside” of your home network

@cal3657 Said… Is able to connect to the HomeBase from “any” Wi-Fi location…

Not from the phones cellular service provider.

Does your phone happen to have dual SIM cards?

Hi there,
The problem is specifically connecting using mobile data. The wifi connection is fine, thats my exact point.
I connect remotely to my workshop security camera using the Eufy phone app. It works fine if my phone is connected to wifi. However it will not connect to the security camera if my phone is not connected to wifi.
Thanks

Yes, I have a spare slot.

Exactly, thanks!

There’s not much help I can offer. Do a search on this forum as I know this has come up before.
It may be an issue with your phone service data provider, a SIM card setting that needs to be changed?

4G router w/SIM card??
Can you bypass the SIM card and physically connect to fiber using an ethernet cable to the HomeBase 2

I’m looking into this being an issue with provider of the wifi simcard I use. I’m waiting for a reply from them.
Thanks

I’ve already given the answer twice, you must read the page I linked and do what it says, baffles me why people ask for others to help and then ignore the things they tell them

also it might be trying to use IPV6 on the mobile connection, disable IPV6 on your phone

Disabling IPV6 fixed the problem.
Thanks
