I can't attach this to a tree?

This is for the EufyCam S330. According to the instruction manual…

“Places not to install: Under or on a tree.”

NO NO NO NO NO!!!

It’s too late to return this product I already bought the the S380 Homebase!!!

I want it away from the house not attached to it in an inconspicuous location, and where I can see the entire front of the house that includes windows and all possible entry points not under the eves of my house! I want it at these locations under a tree. I’m not going to attach it to a fence post. I’m not going to attach it to another building.

What is the alternative if I can’t use a tree? Should I install a 10 foot poll in the ground and attach the camera on top of the poll to get sunlight?

The pole is a good idea. I suspect the reason for not attaching to a tree is because of potential damage maybe

I would still attach it to the tree, and see how it works out..
If the solar panel receives at least 2 hours of sunlight it should keep a charge, as long as it’s not detecting too much activity, that’s what the manual states.
