I come back here on a regular basis hoping to find the outdoor camera that I need. What these people don’t seem to realize is that an outdoor camera in Canada must be weatherproof, rated -40 °C to 40 °C, and wired. Also, an oudoor camera resolution must be 4K not 1080p because you want to see clearly the face of whoever walks up your driveway, not just who rings your doorbell. AI and other gadgets are not the first priority.
Just switched from arlo pro 3 to eufy solocam 340s. Had had arlo > 5 years. Always froze (all three), when outdoor temps were below - 15°C. Dunno about eufy yet, has had it since October 2024. Live in Wisconsin.
My Video Smartlock also freezes at -14 here in Edmonton Alberta. What more in the coldest temperatures?
eufy has a number of cams that are IP67 rated …

I have Eufy Floodlight camera E340, since April - Eufy says that operating temperature -20C to +50C . I’m not sure what happens when temperature drops under -20, I guess I’ll find out this winter. It’s wired to 110V outlet so maybe it warms it up a little.
