I have one Eufy

I have one Eufy S220 installed on my front porch, and it works great… I’ve had it for about 5 months. It’s connected to my WiFi. I just ordered and received 2 more S220 Eufy Solocams to set up near my driveway and the back porch, and I’m trying to sync them to my WiFi via the eufy Security app but they won’t sync. Do I need a home base in order to add multiple cameras or can I still just use my WiFi without purchasing a home base? Thank you for any ideas…just wondering if anyone else has dealt with this issue amd how they resolved it:)

Does anyone know if I have to have a homebase in order to have multiple s220 eufy cameras? I’ve contacted Eufy by phone and email but have not had any reply from them…still waiting but also thinking I’ll need to return cameras because I’m not understanding what I need to make the 2 new ones sync to my Eufy Account on the App.

Hi, no you don’t need a HomeBase for those cameras. Hence the word SoloCam.
Is this the one you purchased?

Are you adding it to the app correctly?
Your phones Bluetooth needs to be on and also the phone needs to be connected to your home’s Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz channel.
To add it to the eufy app you’ll see My Devices near the top and across from that a + symbol, tap on that and a new screen will open and then select the proper camera.

Yes that is the camera… thank you… I’ll try that again…I’ve been going through those steps and everything is connected to wifi and Bluetooth… it’s just not recognizing the solocam device. I’m thankful to know I don’t need the homebase… I didn’t think I did but begin to wonder…when it would not sync up. I’ll keep you posted to see if it will work to add these other two.

If it is the solo as said you do not need the homebase to sync them. But the homebase can add as an extra storage for your solo cam

They work!! Thank you Eufy Commmunity:) There were two possible reasons I wasn’t getting them to sync:

  1. I didn’t notice the space below wifi connected line, where i also needed to enter my WiFi password on and when I did that, everything went through smoothly
  2. Simultaneously I wondered if having the 2 s220 units together on counter was causing an issue so I separated them and put one unit in another area of house.
So not sure which one helped…but I’m almost positive it was my mistake to not notice that I needed to enter my password for wifi…even though it was ON and recognized by all other devices…it’s part of the process to sync the new Eufy camera to wifi:)
Thank you again for your comments and taking time to help:)

Good to hear!
I’m going to go with number 1, enter Wi-Fi password, without it it can’t connect.
