I have two Eufy S3 Pro cameras installed in front of my house. They both are wired and on for 24/7 recording. But they both aren’t recording properly, failing to create many events, even 24/7 recording jumps here and there, and miss the recordings. They almost always failed to record any of our parked cars movement (someone can take our cars and most probably we never would get any alerts).
Here is one clip from 24/7 recording (large blue boxes are events). A car enters to the frame at 8:19:44 and suddenly disappeared at 8:19:47 when 24/7 recording stopped for 9 seconds (it started again 8:19:56). And funny thing the camera created an event for this car which started at 8:20:10, after 23 seconds. Should I return these cameras and switch to Reolink or any other brand? All suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks! https://d1vgfqyzvhj207.cloudfront.net/2025/01/17/user/7c680777d424bba03eb5ae60558998d909bae903/fBleBMjVJQ0WKNbt.1968018074.MOV
eufy probably need to issue an update for the camera. I’ve been trying to get the power cable to allow me to record 24/7… but it’s been out of stock for while now.
the problem I have is the snapshot feature doesn’t seem to work anymore on my camera….
I believe the playback shows you the continuous recordings as a time lapse so that it doesn’t take you an hour to watch an hour of recording, so it’s possible that the missed movement was in the bit cut from the Timelapse. If that is the case, I don’t know how you could extract a non event video from the Homebase to review it.
The bit about Timelapse is definitely correct as I had continuous recording enabled briefly at one point, but in all honesty the rest is an educated guess.
Personally I think this needs to be a question for eufy support.
