I just found out today, by testing it also, that if you have sd cards in the cameras
(as long as the homebase still has power ) if the WiFi goes down the cameras still do record my battery one (which is wired) and wired pro camera still do record 24/7 you just can’t see the footage until the WiFi comes back on then you can just click to view like normal
Also if you wired the battery cam if that loses power and has an SD card in it will also record but events only as long as the home base does not lose power.

I have wired cams that record to SD cards, no HomeBase.
If my Wi-Fi goes down the cameras still record, but cannot be viewed until Wi-Fi has returned.
