I’m about to put up my new s330 cameras how where would people recommend placing them, I was thinking somewhere along the line of red bricks?

Absolutely not! The higher up you have them the better my friend!
Trust me. I’ve had mine for awhile now and I LOVE THEM. The higher the better :100:

If you want to capture faces for insurance reasons, you will need to keep them around 7-8ft high.
If you want to have full area awareness, then higher the better. Brick is going to be rough with signals so wired would be best. (Though knocking a hole, cleanly, through brick, is tricky. Watch some youtube videos)

That s330 is a pan& tilt right pro or somthing…I’d put it a little high just to make sure nobody messes with it…
It probably won’t happen but good to keep people honest… because if they ever do, you’d wish you did put up a bit… Just out of reach would be good…

Perfect thanks

Ok thank you!

Here goes a shot of my S340, I got it about half way up to were your second story window is...
So ya as far as the S340 go, it's a fact, the higher the better... that's as far up as it pans. ON THE OTHER HAND, I can pan all the way to the ground. Which really makes a difference when your using the split view, because the close up barley fits the image in which is on the bottom...
The close up view is the one that aims lower to the ground and that the one that going to get your shot image... You can pan in with the wide view but if you want the best of both, and the whole picture, you'll have to mount it pretty high...

That’s as far up as it pans… it pans down all the way down, but is limited to hiw far you can pan up…
So ya for the best of both worlds, referring to the split view, you want to mount it up high…

I’d say that’s a good view, you may even want to pitch the camera down a bit, so you don’t see the rooftop of the 2nd house on the left & get more of your driveway in view.

Which camera is that can you post photo of it? When I search online for the model three different cams show up… thanks

High enough that is cannot be easily reached without a ladder. The more difficult to steal the camera the better. I also recommend overlapping fields of view.

Yeah I probably will going to live with it for a few days and see what’s what.

it’s the s330

This is quite a handy way to mount the camera Pardon our interruption...

Also might want to consider the height, just if someone could easily grab them.

I wish I thought of this question B4 letting electrician install. Install as high as ur ladder will allow bec if u have solar battery issues, u will wanna take it down yourself instead of hiring someone to do that. And B4 u install, use them indoors connected to home base to make sure 1 doesn’t drain drastically. If I did that, I would have exchanged 3 cam set with home base.
