Is there a solution to why my eufy setup is so slow.
Compared to my ring setup it takes an age from clicking on the notification to actually seeing the video.
For me to select live feed takes so long

Maybe WiFi? My live feed connects pretty quickly and i have a variety of 14 different cameras. Once and awhile it’s slow but I blame the internet WiFi. Watching a notification might take a little longer but that’s because it has to encrypt the video 1st but still pretty quick.
You may want to try rebooting or power cycling your router, homebase (if you have one) and camera to see if this helps. Notification lag is generally a local issue, however Eufy did release a new app recently that could also be at fault at the moment, so keep that in mind.
Ring and Eufy are fundamentally different in how they operate over the network. Ring is cloud based, and all of the work is done in the cloud (on AMZ servers) so the video tends to be pretty quick to pull up with a good internet connection. They have a local Edge option, but most people don’t use it.
Eufy works mostly entirely within your network (except for maybe thumbnails). Functionality is way more dependent on your own local equipment and Firewall sensitivity/setup and Wifi signal/strength/throughput/interference can be issues.
Is it the same slowness for each camera? Are the cameras a long distance from the homebase? Are your viewing on a phone outside of your home wifi? Mine takes about 1 second even on a phone 150 miles from my house, but my cameras are all within 30 meters/yards of my homebase
