Issues with floodlight cam 2 and floodlight cam 2 Pro

In 2021, we installed CAM 2 FLOODLIGHT at one end of 3-car garage and CAM 2 PRO FLOODLIGHT (360 degree Pan Tilt) at the other end, about 30 feet apart at same elevation from ground. We’ve had issues with BOTH floodlight cameras since the onset, some issues are listed below:

  1. Last night, floodlight on both cams triggered (passing car) but no videos. Not an isolated incident, unclear why there is no video whenever the floodlight triggers, don’t they work hand in hand???

  2. Frequently, with passing cars/human, there is video from one floodlight cam but not the other; occurs during daylight and night time - why does this happen? Cam 2 sensitivity is set at HIGHEST and Pro DETECTION RANGE is set at FARTHEST.

  3. At night, videos from Pro are dark/fuzzy/not clear when floodlight triggers. We’ve tried adjusting LIGHT SETTINGS, VIDEO SETTINGS, the camera tilt, and have cleaned the camera itself. Toggling NIGHT VISION IMAGE ADJUSTMENT and COLOR NIGHT VISION on and off does not help. Help?

  4. At night, floodlight (cam 2) consistently triggers late, the passing car/human is practically out of view when the light finally comes on. There is no LIGHT ACTIVATION MODE option (FAST LIGHT-ON) on cam 2 (like with Pro). Help?

  5. MOTION TRACKING (Pro) - When function is turned ON, the cam moves in one direction and seems to get stuck, does not follow passing cars/human. This function is more problematic than helpful so we keep it turned OFF. Further, the cam sometimes does not return to its original/set position. Help?

    NOTE: Another Eufy user posted the same issue we’re experiencing - “Sometimes, I’ve noticed my camera move and then look down at the corner of the ground. Other times, I’ve seen the camera whiplash left to right to left having no focus on the target of motion, after a vehicle or pedestrian passes by.”

It is not clear how AUTO-CRUISE works in conjunction with MOTION TRACKING - PRESET POSITIONS - OUT OF VIEW DETECTION. Eufy user documentation is lacking in many areas.

  1. ACTIVITY ZONE does not work effectively on either floodlight cam, false triggers continue endlessly - Is this a global Eufy issue?

  2. RESTART DEVICE option has resumed but it is unclear when this should be activated and the expected results? Eufy user documentation is lacking.
