2c Pro with external floodlight problem

Hi Hive mind,

I have a series of 2c pro cameras that work fine in the day time but at night, when they are working with external garden floodlights (not the light in the camera), the recorded video is disrupted by the floodlight.

I think its the frequency of the camera v’s the frequency of the led floodlight.

Ive been on to Eufy for a couple of months about this and to be honest they are pretty useless.

Has anyone else had this problem and did you find a solution?

Thanks

Hi, I recall some users having an issue with the Garage cam, where the LED lights in the garage door opener would interfere with the operation of the garage cam.

Is there a way you can test out your theory that the LED lights you have are disrupting your 2C pro cams, like power OFF your LED lights and see if the camera records good at night without an issue.

Also, what do you mean by “video disrupted”?
Bad picture quality / Choppy playback / Not recording.

Hi, When the floodlight comes on the camera sees it as a flickering light rather than a solid light.

Theres a couple of videos here showing whats happening in daylight and one thats next to a floodlight if the link works.

Hello, sorry I wasn’t able to view the video.

I’m going to say that the cameras frames per second (FPS) is out of sync with the LED floodlights, that’s what’s causing the flickering / strobing in the videos that are being recorded at night.
There is no settings in the camera where you can change that…
But, if you have Auto Night Vision ON try turning it off, so it will record in color during the evening and also go into the Spotlight settings, turn that ON and then turn ON Auto Spotlight to see if there is an improvement.

Can you post a photo of the flood light in relation to your camera, if the flood light is pointing at the camera perhaps you may need to reposition the flood light so it’s not shining on to it.

Sorry, try these.

Okay, I saw those three videos and geez that’s messed up.
Couldn’t say how to fix that, unless you invest in different LED lights. Maybe purchase just one to replace one that’s mounted to see how it works out.
