Anyone else having their map disappear shortly after having to recreate it and having the app refuse to do work with the map saying there isn’t one? Started yesterday.

My map is still there, sorry you’re experiencing problems. Since your map is gone, anyway, I’d probably uninstall the app and then reinstall.
