Motion detection stopped working after latest firmware update

After a call to the support of eufy, I’ve become pushed the 4.6.6 on 3 pro cams. At daylight seems to be working good. Not so good as before, but ok. But at night, there are nearly no triggers.

So in my case still broken firmware 4.6.6 on the cams

Got already 4.6.6 since 1/12 in my 2 pro, but it worked at daylight only, but still so now and then. Contacted Eufy and received on 6/12 (today) sub-system update 1.0.98-20210826. Wonder what this will do.

I have that subsystem already for a week, it didn’t fix night time All motion issue at all. Day time human motion works.

Ask from Euf support, include screenshot of you sw and serial of cam.
And complain it doesn’t work

@mar10279 Are they working at night as All Motion?

I assume it works that way, but one of the updated cams was able to detect a person when it was already dark, which it was (kid walked past it).

But seems older cams are also able to detect a person, or just motion.

I am working on providing Eufy with logs, scenarios, videos and pics of my 4 brand new cams eufy 2 pros that are not detecting any cars at night on FW 4.8.8 (when left on all motion during night). This should be an easy fix for the devs provided they accept it’s a freaking issue and a bug.
I have tested bringing a car 5 feet to the camera with high beams and it won’t pickup Jack s****.
It’s beyond me why release a FW where basic crucial functionality of the cam is broken.

Emailed Eufy support on 30/11, they requested SN of Homebase and affected cameras, and within 2 days update software was pushed to 4.6.6.
Happy to report that they seem to be finally working as intended again, with same settings as before :+1:t2:

@camiduarte They are not working as intended on 4.6.6
They won’t record non human motion during night when left on human only detection. Check yours…

I am still not happy with the functions on my 3 x eufy 2 C cameras brcause before the firmware broke the system when set on human only detect during the day it showed motion as human and at night showed detections as motion, now cameras set to human detect only shows detection during the day as person and when it picks up something during the night still shows as person even though a car had gone by, the cameras cannot separate moving cars and persons so marks it as person detect this goes for dogs as well and I am so tired of contacting CS because they are useless and no help at all. I am now stuck with a useless bit of kit that does not do as it says on the box and no way of returning it back to eufy I am so pissed off.

@tre348 I understand you man. Just imagine how many non geeky folks would have bought into their product without realizing that they don’t work as they are supposed to. Eufy saturating their product line with one too many products. Seems like the dev team is overwhelmed with having to keep up with dozen or so products out in the market instead of providing quality software for what can be a decent system.

Factory reset your HOMEBASE with a pin. Problem solved it will reset the issue for now.

@yafis I have been in contact with Eufy since the bad 28/09/2021 firmware update and they were no help at all and kept on asking for logs and videos from when it worked which I supplied them with. Their R&D department never accepted responsibility for the problem and tried to say it was custmers fault and said to use move position of cameras to solve problems but everything was working great before update and fortunately for me I was monitoring my system when finding out the camera’s were faulty because of the update and to get them working had to change camera’s to detect all and since then I do not trust Eufy security to monitor my property

Hi All I am in a similar position with 5 x 2c camera’s not picking up human detection at night. I have had the 5.4.5 update to the camera’s which improved the human detection during the daytime, before the update everything was working correctly. I have contacted Eufy support who have now suggested that I contact the retailer for a warranty claim. I do not think that the retailer will exchange the system for what is obviously a Eufy firmware fault. After reading all the posts it seems an issue that Eufy are unwilling to recognise and rectify the fault. I am absolutely disgusted now with the useless system and suggest that nobody recommends these camera’s to anybody they know, unfortunately I did and my friends are also having this issue.

My system is the same both my 2c cameras got messed up with 5.4.3 firmware update the 5.4.5 seemed to have sorted them a little bit throughout the day but at night are now totally useless. The detect human only doesnt switch to push all motion at night totally at a loss now with eufy.

My cams are set to detect humans on day and on night it is motion detection in general. Works well after the firmware upgrade, no complains!
