moving from Eufy HB2 to HB3

hello, my current setup is HB2 with eufy doorbell. recordings are being recorded on the HB2.
Now i have jumped and bought HB3 to check my Q’s
i managed to connect the new HB3 to MY Homes, it updated its fw to the latest.
when i try to connect the door bell to my new HB3 while my HB2 is offline, it asks me to press the sync button on my door bell which i do and hear the ding. The Eufy app on my iphone 16pro max is not able to connect my HB3 with my door bell. i am fed up with clicking the hole in the bell to remove and press the sync button on my doorbell.

  1. Can i use the HB3 in the same home app and use it with the Eufy door bell to record events. do i have to remove the door bell from HB2 to connect it to HB3.
  2. will my old events from door bell be saved on my HB2 and if i want to go back can i just add this to my home in my app and start using it with me door bell.
  3. can i keep booth HB in my same home. Currently its showing 3 deivces HB2, HB3 and Doorbell

Hello, you should not have disconnected / offline the HB2 while you were adding the HB3 to the app.
The HB3 would have noticed that there’s an HB2 and then would have prompted you to transfer your devices and videos to the new HB3.
Remove the HB3 from the app and start over.
