Mult Bridge

If I am using the multi-link feature on my Home Base 3 for my S3 Pro cameras, can I still use a video doorbell connected to the HB3 using the HB3 internal wifi? I do not think that the video doorbell can use the mulit bridge feature.

They shood… They’re gen 3 products…

Dies it show them being paired to your home base… tap on the HB, it should look like this…

It won’t be a problem, your doorbell will connect to the HB3’s internal Wi-Fi.

I believe that only the eufyCam E330 Pro is the only camera that’s able to use Multi-Bridge technology.

There is only one way to try and let us know :man_shrugging:t3:

Should be ok

My E210 has multi bridge. Is that actually a limitation for most Eufy devices? I may return my HomeBridge then, the application I want it for would not have devices in range of a built-in Wifi network. Why do they have to work like that? Ugh.

Camera / devices that have Multi-Bridge capability is a benefit.
It works as such, if the camera has an unstable Wi-Fi connection to the HB3’s internal Wi-Fi, then multi-bridge would allow you to connect that camera to your home’s Wi-Fi and then it will relay its information to the HB3.
It’s similar as working like a Wi-Fi repeater.
It allows your cameras to use your existing wifi to connect to the HB3 . The feature availability is limited to certain cameras.

The camera you have, I believe is a solo cam which does not need / require the home base to operate. Is this the camera?

Right, I know it’s a benefit, and I don’t want my other devices to not be able to use it. My S40 doesn’t seem to be able to. Yes, it’s that camera, but the 1080p version. I got the HomeBridge to try and consolidate the recording location and eliminate issues with access speeds of microSD cards, etc.

Edit: an accurate list of devices capable of using this feature would be helpful.

Yeah, I understand what you mean.
The HomeBase and cameras connecting to its own hidden internal Wi-Fi it’s always been like that and is a downfall if your cameras are placed too far away from it.

The multi-bridge is a new technology for the HB3.
So I would say older cameras don’t have the capability to use it.
I don’t know how many cameras have that capability as far as I know only the E330 does.
Funny, prior I have searched a few times for a compatibility list for multi bridge, and none to be found.

I find it kind of funny that a budget model like the E210 has the capability. I guess I did not understand how the Homebase worked. I would think it could route traffic over the LAN without any extra capabilities required from the camera. Are all new models going to have multi-bridge? This will guide me on the choice of how to setup for my friend, as it’s a large property.
