my camera is making a noise like crushing cellophane, any ideas?

Is it a pan & tilt camera? Dirt inside could be the cause.

Good call, as the noise was only present at night (quieter) I decided to look at the camera in daylight. SOLVED A PIECE OF CLEAR PERSPEX FRO THE ORIGINAL PACKAGING WAS STILL ATTACHED AND WAS RUBBING THE CAMERA BODY IN THE HIGH WIND! thanks to all who responded
