My new Eufy Omn

My new Eufy Omni S1 Pro was delivered today. I have an E28 being delivered later this week. Does anyone have experience with either/both of these robovacs? Any pointers, tips or tricks? Which do you prefer?

Do you use your indoor chime or do you use HomeBase?

I use the homebase. When I purchased my house it did not have a wired chime installed, even though all of the wiring was there. I never ended up purchasing a phyical chime. I tried the seperate Eufy plug in chime for awhile but it did not make sense to have both a eufy standalone chime and the homebase.

Wow

Was thi ki g about getting g one of these is it really worth it and do they work good and not getting stuck

I think it is worth, especially if you catch it during their black friday sale. Mine has only gotten caught on objects a few times. It ate up a children’s coloring book and sucked up the train on my Daughter’s Elsa dress. One of the side brushes caught a usb charging cable and wound it up. Overall its pretty good at avoiding hazard.

I have a large dog and 2 toddlers. I found myself staying up late to sweep, vacuum and mop a few times a week. I started with a Swiffer wet jet but that just pushed dirt. I went to an O-cedar Easywring Mop, which didnt cut down the cleaning time, but definitely did a much better job. I eventually got a Bissell crosswave which helped a lot and caught a Samsung Jet 75+ on sale(I love this vacuum. It’s powerful and quiet).

Since getting the E28 I havent really had to use any of the other cleaning tools. Black Friday it was on sale for $699 and came with a free E20 3-in-1 vacuum.

The only caveat is that the E25/E28 has alot of wearable parts that will need to be maintained and replaced regularly. Ive attached screenshots from inside the app. The E28 is a bit louder than the E25 when self emptying. Hope that helps

nice one

I think this is a really helpful and honest breakdown of your experience with the robot cleaner. It’s useful to hear real-world feedback like how it handles everyday messes, especially with pets and young kids around, since that’s where these devices are really tested. Your comparison with other cleaning tools also gives a clear picture of how much time and effort it can actually save, even if there’s some maintenance involved with wearable parts. Overall, it sounds like a solid investment if someone catches it on a good deal. For a completely different topic, style guides like understanding opera necklace length also show how small details can make a big difference in everyday choices.

I wish chat bots were as useful as vacuum robots:rofl:

Hi! I had the vac for about 2 months and I loved it! At first I started noticing that it was bumping into my furniture when I’d thought they’d said it would avoid obstacles? But thats not why I’d returned it, I just did not see how it was actually cleaning my vinyl flors when there just was not enough (IMHO) “wetness” when it cleaned those areas? Now, I didn’t test it or anything by making spills and whatnot. I just watched it go on those areas where the side white light would illuminate (showing that it was cleaning a non-carpeted surface), and the company never answered my question of how I would know if the cleaning solution had run out. But all in all, my main reason for return was because I didn’t need such an expensive device when the majority of my apartment is carpeted besides the kitchen and bathroom,. OH! That was the other reason I’d returned it — because I would see it not 100% cleaning all areas. It’s seemed to have a mind of it’s own and all of my furniture are elevated, and it almost never went under my couch fully cleaning, I was very unhappy with that as well because that area I DID TEST, by leaving a bit of dropped food for it to come in between the couch and chais to clean, and it never did at 100% go in those area as a routine, only when it wanted to. Smh

I can see that. My downstairs is all hardwood except for two area rugs. I tweaked the settings a bit and found it helpful. I haven’t had alot of time to play around with the dirt inspection feature.
