Does the new Professional homebase have better built-in wifi coverage? The S3 is pretty useless, cameras disconnect all the time. They work better without homebase and good wifi
I thought the S3 Pro had multi bridge capability where it will connect to your home’s Wi-Fi if the connection to the HB3 is weak
Yes, it does, but the cameras were always going offline and I had to reconnect them by unplugging them and plugging them back in, which is a PITA for outdoor cameras. Since dropping the HB my cameras stay connected much better through my wifi - the downside is you need SD cards in some of the cameras to retain clips and it takes longer to read clips going to each camera rather than the HB.

So with the HomeBase Professional S1 I’ve found that multi-bridge actually works well for 2/3 cameras and to be fair one was just added the capability to do so yesterday and it’s not working properly. I have the S350 indoor cam connected to the HB3 and multi-bridge always wanted to connect to the HB3 and disconnect from wifi now the the HBP even if I reset the HB 9/10 times it still connects to the wifi network if there’s not changes to the HB I’ve yet to have it disconnect from wifi in the past 4 months I’ve had it same goes for the Doorbell cam C31. 2 days ago the capability was added to the SoloCam S340 and I’ve yet to be able to have it connect to my WiFi network. I also have 3 EufyCam S4 that I’m waiting to be compatible with the HBP since multi-bridge with the HB3 constantly disconnects from the WiFi and I’m having to connect them to wifi at least once a day and I have a mess system which each camera is less than 20 feet from a node.
To answer your question, the wifi range is about the same from what I’ve seen, I would add that the HBP does not have the ability to be connected to wifi and be relocated anywhere it has to be connected with an Ethernet cable to your router, which is why I’m guessing multi-bridge works so much better.
