Night vision doorbell glare with anti theft bracket

Just got myself a doorbell bracket, thought I’d try and secure the new doorbell since it’s east for anyone with a nail or prong, to remove it.

Anyway, the bracket is nice and secure, no way can the doorbell be taken out of the bracket. However, my issue is that night vision in this bracket has a horrible ‘orb’ or ‘halo’ effect around the video feedback. Kinda like looking through a porthole window. I’m guessing the night-vision lights are being reflected back on the camera from the bracket itself? Does anyone else use an anti theft bracket and encounter this issue?

I’ll post pictures if needed. I’ve actually reverted back to the ‘unsecured’ wall mount method at the moment :frowning:

I don’t use an anti-theft bracket, though you’re probably right about the IR lights reflecting back from the bracket. Don’t know what the bracket looks like. If it’s painted a shiny black? Perhaps you can try spray painting it a flat black or try a rubberized truck bed liner paint can spray?
