No longer receiving notifications

I have been using the Eufy App for a few months now. Initially, I was receiving notifications. Those notifications have stopped, unless I have the app open. If the app is open, the notifications come through. If the app is closed, nothing happens. I have tried all of the troubleshooting suggestions from Eufy and Apple. Any suggestions?

From what you’re describing, it really sounds like your phone is blocking the app from running properly in the background.

A few things you might want to double-check, even if you’ve already tried the basics:

  1. Background App Refresh – Make sure it’s enabled for the Eufy app under iOS Settings > General > Background App Refresh.
  2. Focus Modes / Do Not Disturb – These can silently block notifications without you realizing. Try turning them off temporarily to test.
  3. Low Power Mode – If enabled, it can prevent background activity, including notifications.
  4. Eufy App Notification Settings – Double-check inside the app under Security > (Your Device) > Notification Settings to ensure push notifications are enabled for the events you want.
  5. Reinstall the App – Sometimes deleting and reinstalling can reset any stuck permissions or bugs.

As I indicated in my original post, I have tried all of these suggested steps several times. I have also contacted Apple and had my iPhone reset. The doorbell and camera work fine and record all events. I just don’t receive notifications.

I must’ve missed where you said you tried those steps. I hope someone else can help guess other suggestions you may or may not have already done.
