I was excited to try the Eufy S330 kit, but the design limitation means it won’t work in my property. The cameras can only connect to the HomeBase’s own 2.4 GHz link and cannot join my normal Wi-Fi/extender SSID. My HomeBase must sit indoors, and its radio will not reach the exterior camera locations through stone walls.
I have a robust, secured Wi-Fi 6 network with separate VLANs and strong keys, but the system doesn’t allow cameras to use it.
The cameras are absolutely stunning, the hub is sweet and have a lot of desirable functions.
But with my stone walls the Hub can`t provide network outside.
Well, don’t feel scammed, if the system doesn’t work with your situation then return it and purchase their solo cams that doesn’t require a HomeBase.
The Solo Cams can work with your homes Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz and you only need their app.
