Problems with local Storage und Homebase 2 connection after Hardreset (no blue circle)

Hi everyone. I own a Homebase 2, and after losing local storage for the past two days (I’ve tried restarting and power cycling it repeatedly, but nothing has changed), I’ve done a complete reset. Unfortunately, I can no longer register the Homebase 2. After connecting it to the router via LAN and plugging it into the power outlet, the blue circle doesn’t appear after the red one, and I can’t establish a connection. Trying different LAN ports or power outlets hasn’t made any difference. Does anyone know this problem and how to fix it? Best regards, Chris

Hi Chris,
Have you got the connection set as a 2.4 GHz WiFi connection?
The cameras will not work in 5GHz.
I would recommend speaking to your local internet service provider if you are having trouble and see if they can help you at all.
I had to do the same thing when I connected my CCTV cameras as they did the same thing you are experiencing.

Hey Chris, sorry to say but the HomeBase may have just failed.
How old is it? Is it still under warranty?
I have heard in the past that the blue circle light has burned out, but the HB still functions as normal.
Though considering that you mentioned you have lost storage capability I’m thinking the HomeBase has an issue.
Try setting it up one more time, when the red light turns off wait 15 minutes and then try to add it to the app…

Thank you so much for your replies. I’m also afraid the home base is broken, since switching to 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi didn’t help. There’s no warranty left since it’s about six years old. I’ve ordered a used one. That should do the trick. Have a nice Sunday.

Wow, 6 years, I’d say you got your money’s worth out of it…

Also, switching to the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi band wouldn’t matter unless you’re using the HomeBase wirelessly connected to your home’s router, but the initial install setup requires you to connect an Ethernet cable LAN to the HomeBase first before you can add / register it to the eufy app.
Your phone also needs to be connected to your Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz Network and Bluetooth should also be on.
